LED THERAPY
Frequently Asked Questions
What is LED light therapy?
LED Light Therapy is a safe, non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate skin cells, accelerate healing, and support overall skin health.
- Red light helps rejuvenate and restore the skin by boosting collagen production
- Near-infrared (NIR) assists with muscle recovery and reducing inflammation
- Blue light targets acne-causing bacteria and promotes clearer skin
Each wavelength offers unique benefits, making this a versatile and effective therapy for both skin and body wellness.
What are the light colours used?
- Red (630–660nm): Boosts collagen, reduces wrinkles, and gives skin a radiant glow.
- Near-Infrared (850–880nm): Reaches deep tissues to relieve muscle and joint pain.
- Blue (415–430nm): Targets acne-causing bacteria and calms inflamed skin.
How long is a session, and how many do I need?
Each session is 20 minutes. For visible results:
- Skin concerns: 2–3 times per week for 4 - 6 weeks
- Pain / inflammation: As needed for relief
- Maintenance: Once every 2 – 4 weeks after initial results
Can I do more than one light type in a day?
Yes! You can combine red, NIR, and blue light sessions in the same day to address multiple concerns.
Is LED safe?
Yes—there’s no UV, no heat, and no downtime. It’s suitable for all skin types. We don’t recommend LED bed use during pregnancy. Please advise us if you have light sensitivity or are on photosensitising medication.
Can I pair LED with other treatments?
Absolutely! It enhances facial results, speeds healing post-peel or microneedling, and pairs well with float or massage sessions.
